Hello,

I’m with CTV News in Canada and we are wondering if you may have someone who can talk to us about the Kabul bombing that happened today. Please let me know if you have someone available to speak to us in the next few hours. We can interview them through Facetime with an Apple device.

thank you

Hello, I am an Italian Brussels-based journalist writing an article on the EU-Afghanistan Joint Way Forward. I attended the “Afghan lives matter” gathering at the beginning of October and now I am looking for updates on the implementation of the agreement. Is there someone from the World Hazara Council I could interview on this subject?

Many thanks in advance,

Francesca Spinelli

I covered the Taliban’s genocidal attacks on the Hazaras
during the war between the Talibs/Pakistanis/ bin Laden
and the Northern Alliance before 9/11; in fact, I believe I
was the last American to see the Bamiyan Buddhas before
they were destroyed–I was trying to start a project to
support Bamiyan University and returned to the US to
try and raise money, but the Taliban and co. captured
the Bamiyan Valley while I was gone. At any rate, I am
still interested in supporting the education system in
the Hazarajat, and am wondering if there’s anything I
can do to help with bringing guest teachers over, helping
build up libraries and school supplies, etc. I’m hoping to
return to Afghanistan later this year with that in mind,
so I would appreciate it if you could let me know if such a
program would be useful. Although I’ve been away from
Afghanistan for some time I still have many close friends
there, including Masood Khalili and the Sharafi family.
When I was reporting from Afghanistan I worked for Time
Magazine, The NY Times, Helsinki Watch, NPR, etc. etc.
If you think a program like the one I have in mind would
be useful please let me know. I live in Colorado currently,
but will be in NY and Washington in May if you want to
meet.
