
Rahela Kaveer
Rahela Kaveer is the chairperson of World Hazara Council. She graduated as MPM from McCourt of Public Policy, Georgetown University, Washington DC, MPH from Institute of Tropical Medicine, Belgium, MD from Kabul Medical University. Dr. Kaveer worked for 16 years as a health specialist with the United Nations Agencies and International organization in Afghanistan, as a medical doctor at the hospital and teacher at medical college. She is also a women advocator and activist working for women development and community development since 1994 in Afghanistan. Rahela is the mother of four nice and great children.
Started working as a young doctor for residency in Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital Kabul, later, successfully passed to be member of academic cadre in internal medicine. However, civil war did not allow her to continue her career there. After she left Kabul, she was teaching at medical college in Marzari Sharif, then working as vice president in Bamiyan University.
